The Catalyst Incubator, funded through the Central Alberta Innovation Network (CARIN) and provided by Community Futures Central Alberta, are proud to announce both Fall and Winter dates for its unique, cohort-based program helping to foster new ideas, make critical connections, and help start-up businesses and entrepreneurs in Central Alberta. The Catalyst Incubator focuses on supporting start-ups in manufacturing, agriculture, technology, energy innovation, and more.
The Catalyst Incubator is 100% funded by CARIN through Alberta Innovates and is FREE to attend for all eligible entrepreneurs. The Catalyst Incubator program provides 8 weeks of programming and over 50 hours of training, coaching, and mentorship/peer support. "An incubator can be the difference between ultimate success and failure for a new idea," said Project Manager, Cathy Forner. "We are proud to be able to provide this opportunity to entrepreneurs in Central Alberta and help them get their ideas off the ground."
Qualified entrepreneurs will have access to coaches who guide them through the process and keep them focused with weekly tasks, streamlined networking and introductions to the right people. They gain a better understanding of customer issues and which opportunities to pursue, as well as an understanding of engagement, testing, and feedback. They learn insights into ground-up evaluations of risk factors and market solutions, industry-specific training, such as classes, workshops, training, and mentorship, as well as the application of new technology to their chosen industry. Approved attendees will learn key objectives of how to build a robust and successful company, with both industry-wide and business-specific considerations.
The Catalyst Incubator is the perfect place to begin the first stages of business entrepreneurship and validate new ideas to grow resiliency and prosperity for the future of our Alberta economy.
"We are excited to be able to again provide this proven successful opportunity to entrepreneurs in Central Alberta," said Community Futures Central Alberta General Manager, Kelly Kierluk. "We know the Catalyst Incubator program is a pivotal tool in helping the Region’s entrepreneurs, their new ideas, and create a more prosperous future for our province."
